Position Description:
You will work in the Business Development department reporting directly to the Senior Director and SVP of Business Development. As a member of this team, you will primarily be tasked with assisting the development and continued growth of 5min’s strategic partnerships, which will include identifying, structuring, and closing large partnerships with large media companies and large internet-based companies. You will also support this over-arching initiative by interfacing with the entire 5min team and departments.
Responsibilities
• Perform sales and business development calls and emails
• Assist in the identification, prioritization, development and growth of the Business Development pipeline.
• Help manage the progress of sales and Business Development activities.
• Manage and track 5min’s library and distribution network growth and other key performance metrics.
• Support ad-hoc requests from different business units - including editorial, site design, product development, ad sales, and marketing.
Skills and Qualifications
• The right candidate is an ambitious, aggressive, hard working, self-starter, who is well organized and able to assume responsibility for specific project deliverables with limited supervision.
• Deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
• Must enjoy and thrive in a start-up environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• BA or BS degree from a top-tier, four-year accredited University.
• Expected Graduation: ’13 - ’10

Hours: 25 – 40 hrs / week
